MacRoots Terms & Conditions

Please read through the below Terms and Conditions carefully:

  • MacRoots (Pty) Ltd and its employees will not be held responsible for any damages or loss of whatever nature howsoever caused to data, hardware or software. The backup of data and software remains the responsibility of the customer as set out in the Data Indemnity Form.
  • It is not the practice of MacRoots (Pty) Ltd and its employees to install or support illegal software.
  • All equipment handed in for repair is done so at the customer’s own risk. Insurance remains the responsibility of the customer.
  • Reinstallation of third-party software, programs and applications will be the responsibility of the customer however MacRoots (Pty) Ltd can assist with these reinstallations at our standard hourly rate, when required. The onus remains with the customer to provide the required installation files, CD’s, DVD’s and serial keys.
  • Warranty repairs may be subject to Proof of Purchase as provided by the customer.
  • Acceptance of equipment by MacRoots (Pty) Ltd shall be subject to signed acceptance of terms and conditions and Data Indemnity Form (where applicable).
  • We undertake to complete the repair within a reasonable time. Estimated times are provided in good faith, but may be subject to change without prior notice due to factors beyond our control.
  • Apple Warranty covers hardware only.
  • Issues relating to software will be charged at our standard rate. All hardware repairs carried out by MacRoots (Pty) Ltd are covered by a 3-month warranty unless otherwise specified by the applicable manufacturers warranty.
  • All hardware and software repairs are strictly COD. No cheques will be accepted.
  • Goods will not be released unless payment in full has been received.
  • All work carried out in the workshop, including repair quotes will be subject to a minimum charge of 30 minutes labour.
  • Repairs not collected within 90 days may be sold to defray expenses.
  • All written quotes are valid for 7 days. No verbal quotes will be honored.
  • It is not the practice of MacRoots (Pty) Ltd and its employees to install or support illegal software.
